𝐁𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐀𝐘 𝟔 (𝐏𝐎𝐁), 𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐓𝐎𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐃 𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐁𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐀𝐘𝐒

In celebration of the Local Government Code, the Office of the Sangguniang Bayan of Tigbauan, in collaboration with the Office of the Municipal Local Government Operations Officer, conducted the 3rd Local Legislation Quiz Bee on October 29, 2024 at the Municipal Conference Hall. One (1) elected or appointed official of the municipality’s different barangays participated in the activity and twenty-four (24) barangays responded to the invitation. Three contestants topped the brain drain activity, to wit:

• CHAMPION – Maricor Taleon, Barangay Treasurer of Barangay 6 (Pob)
• 1st RUNNER UP – Hon. Ilyne Trespeces, Barangay Kagawad of Barangay 8 (Pob)
• 2nd RUNNER UP – Hon. Jessa Gelangre, SK Chairperson of Barangay Lubog

Present also in the activity was Miss Arfe N. Molanida, MLGOO of the Municipality of Guimbal who served as the External Arbiter.

The Local Legislation Quiz Bee generally aims to assess the knowledge of barangay officials and educate them on the salient provisions of the Local Government Code of 1991 (RA 7160).

This year’s Local Legislation Quiz Bee is part of the Kaalam sa Sanggunian Program of the Office of the Sangguniang Bayan of Tigbauan.
