ROAD READY: Tigbauan’s 2025 E-Trike Refresher Boosts Traffic Awareness

The Municipality of Tigbauan, through the Sangguniang Bayan Committee on Transportation, chaired by Hon. Norberto T. Turalba, reaffirmed its commitment to safe and orderly local transportation through the Annual Orientation and Refresher Program for E-trike Drivers. The activity gathered e-trike operators and drivers for a day of learning, updates, and engagement with local and national transport authorities.

Atty. Ma. Gerrylin Santuyo-Camposagrado, Head of the Traffic Management Unit, served as the resource speaker, presenting the salient provisions of the proposed revision and updating of the Municipal Transportation and Traffic Code. Her discussion emphasized the need for strengthened traffic discipline, standardized local transport regulations, enhanced road safety measures, and responsive policies aligned with the municipality’s growing mobility demands.

Also present during the activity were Hon. Marlon R. Teruñez, Vice Chairperson of the Sangguniang Bayan Committee on Transportation, and Hon. Adrian S. Camposagrado, who both expressed support for continuous capacity-building initiatives for Tigbauan’s transport sector.

The program was further enriched by the presence of guests from the Land Transportation Office–Guimbal led by Giovanni L. Gasapo, Chief. The delegation included Janus L. Perez, Law Enforcement Team Leader; Fernando C. Tanagon Jr., Administrative Officer I; and Deoviree R. Tantiado, Law Enforcer. Their participation underscored LGU Tigbauan’s collaborative effort with national agencies to harmonize local transport operations with existing laws and enforcement standards.

Through this annual activity, the LGU continues to empower e-trike drivers as front-line partners in maintaining safe, reliable, and people-centered transportation services for the Tigbauanon community.
