CODIFYING CHANGE: SB Tigbauan Charts a Smarter Legislative Path

The Sangguniang Bayan of Tigbauan successfully conducted a two-day Codification Program on November 17–18, 2025 at the District 21 Hotel, gathering local legislators, committee secretaries, and partner stakeholders for an intensive working session on the revision and harmonization of the municipality’s local codes. The activity forms part of the Office of the Sangguniang Bayan’s continuing efforts to enhance local governance by ensuring that existing ordinances and regulations remain updated, responsive, and aligned with current development priorities.

Throughout the two-day workshop, participants reviewed key policy areas and refined provisions that directly impact public welfare, local development, and administrative efficiency. By the end of the session, the Codification Program had produced substantial inputs that will serve as the foundation for the updated municipal codes to be presented in forthcoming public consultations. This initiative underscores the commitment of the Sangguniang Bayan to transparent, participatory, and forward-looking legislation for a more progressive Tigbauan.
